What This Program Includes
On 20 December 2025, Aurbina Scholars Hub, in collaboration with YES Youth Empowerment Support, organized an awareness session on Preventing Human Trafficking in Camp 22, Bangladesh. The session was designed to address the growing risks faced by refugee communities and to provide clear, practical information in a safe and respectful environment.
During the session, participants were guided through a simple explanation of human trafficking, including how traffickers operate and the common situations that place people at risk. Real-life examples and open discussions helped participants understand warning signs, safe decision-making, and the importance of verifying information before trusting offers of work, travel, or assistance. The facilitators also emphasized personal safety, community support, and the role of awareness in prevention.
This session created space for questions, shared experiences, and honest conversation, allowing participants to speak openly and learn from one another. By the end of the program, participants gained stronger awareness and confidence to protect themselves and to look out for others in their community. Through this collaboration, Aurbina Scholars Hub reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding refugee communities through education, awareness, and collective action.
