Announcement: ARC–UNHCR Conference 2026

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Rofik, founder of Aurbina Scholars Hub, has been officially selected to present a research poster at the ASEAN Research Center (ARC) and UNHCR Conference on Refugee Studies and Forced Displacement 2026. This international academic gathering brings together researchers, policymakers, educators, and humanitarian practitioners to engage in meaningful discussions on refugee protection, forced migration, and inclusive development.

Mr. Rofik’s submission successfully passed a competitive review process and was recognized for its academic relevance, originality, and strong contribution to the growing field of refugee and displacement studies. His work reflects both lived experience and practical insights from working directly within refugee education contexts.

During the conference, he will present research that focuses on the educational realities of Rohingya refugees, as well as the challenges and lived difficulties they face while accessing learning opportunities in Malaysia. The study highlights key barriers such as limited access to formal education, resource constraints, legal uncertainty, and social challenges, while also emphasizing resilience, community-driven learning, and the importance of educational initiatives in refugee settings.

The conference will be held in person on 9–10 June 2026 at the Asia School of Business, Kuala Lumpur. It will feature academic paper presentations, poster sessions, and discussions that encourage collaboration between institutions and individuals working in refugee-related fields.

This achievement represents an important milestone for Aurbina Scholars Hub in its mission to amplify refugee voices and contribute to global academic discourse. It further strengthens our commitment to providing educational opportunities, sharing knowledge from the field, and supporting advocacy efforts that focus on equity, inclusion, and access to education for displaced communities.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the organizers of ARC and UNHCR Conference for this opportunity and look forward to contributing meaningfully to the event.
